WEAPONS COMBAT. maine is a heavily trained ( and often heavily armed ) soldier and as such, he can both wield and operate a wide array of weapons and explosive devices with middling to great success. PHYSICAL RESILIENCE. over the course of the series, many people have attempted to kill maine and ( almost ) all of those attempts have failed. he can take an unbelievable amount of damage before he goes down and will often keep fighting even after sustaining grievous injuries that would cripple or kill the average human/soldier. in addition to his special ops training and weaponry finesse, he seems to be quite proficient with technology. he can work his way around unfamiliar systems and security protocols with relative ease and was once shown intercepting and hacking a radio transmission from an enemy character.
